Qualification Description

AWSI’s BSB60420 course is a nationally recognised qualification. This qualification is ideal for those individual seeking to build on current skills gained through work experiences, gaining and academic insight into core leadership and management disciplines including critical thinking, business plan implementation, continuous improvement and other leadership and management disciplines.

Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.

They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

Entry requirements

Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions.

or

Have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise.

The course is delivered in 40 weeks, over a 52-week calendar period, in four (4) terms of ten (10) weeks each.

Potential employment options are in leadership and management roles in a range of industry areas.

Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into the BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management or a range of Advanced Diploma qualifications, as well as higher education qualifications in business or management.
